A pamphlet adventure of dark forest, despicable deeds, and dueling spirits; intended for low level OSR play. Also available in two sided front/back design. Based on one of my favorite locations in Madison, Wisconsin.
What's Going On?
Gwenlen Pearce was the brilliance behind the orchard on Picnic Point. Red Devin came to the peninsula to plunder the mounds but became infatuated. His crude advances rejected, he set fire to her world. Gwenlen’s heart burst to see it all destroyed. Villagers hung the bandit in the orchard and threw his body into the bog. Restless in death, his spirit animated. Animals dragged the body from the muck and it walked the land again. The vindictive Bog-Man desecrated Gwenlen’s tomb and scattered her bones across the peninsula. Two spirits now stalk the land while the ancient witch-trees look on, disturbed.

A beautiful little point-crawl from an up-and-coming designer in the OSR space.
The descriptions are delightfully terse, the locations are evocative and fun. There's cool stuff for your players to interact with. There are several cool magic items and an aloof pig. What else do you want? :)
It would incredibly easy to drop Something Wicked on Picnic Point into your existing game or it can work as a jumping-off point for a new campaign. Got and empty hex on your crawl? Plop down Picnic Point. Your players will have a blast with it.
